Rangely, Colo. — The Town Council on June 10 voted to table consideration of a revised contract with the county for building official services after members raised questions about the contract’s presentation and proposed fee changes.
Councilors said they had not received an updated contract in the packet and urged the county to provide a clearer proposal; one council member called a proposed increase to $40,000 “outrageous” as presented. Alan said Matt Franks has been the county contact and staff would ask him to appear and explain the proposed services and fees.
Robbie moved to table item 12A; Sean seconded the motion and the council carried it. Council members noted the town remains covered under the current arrangement through November and asked staff to obtain a revised, itemized contract before further action.
The council did not adopt new fees and took no final action on the contract at the meeting.
