Rangely, Colo. — The Town Council approved a special-event permit on June 10 to allow Powell Liquor Company to serve alcohol at the Main Street Revival Market on June 20 at the Rangeley Automotive Museum.
Jesse, who described himself as an event volunteer and manager of the service plan, said he will limit the event to a single controlled entrance so staff can check IDs and wristband attendees. “The first thing I'm probably gonna change on this though is instead of two entrances and exits, I think I'm gonna limit it to one to really focus on paying attention to people's IDs and wristbanding them as they're coming in,” Jesse said. He added that servers will be TIPS-certified and that volunteers will patrol the event area.
Council members asked about crowd control and the proposed boundary that will keep alcohol within the event footprint so families and children can attend other parts of the market. With a motion from Tim and a second from Robbie, the council voted to approve the permit.
The approved permit covers vendor areas and a concert within the designated market boundary; organizers said they plan multiple dates through the summer to boost downtown foot traffic.
