Andy Craft, a La Mesa resident, told the Rangely Town Council on April 8 that he wants to buy a town-owned lot directly west of his property at 1227 Desirado Drive and offered $11,000.
“I want to make a formal offer of $11,000,” Craft said, adding the parcel measures 7,749 square feet and that comparable lots in town have an average market valuation of roughly $1.503 per square foot (about $11,600 total). Craft said he plans to combine the lot with his existing parcel and improve it by cleaning weeds, installing gravel and possibly fencing.
Council members thanked Craft for appearing and said the sale and negotiation process would be handled by town staff and the new town manager. Clerk (speaker 2) told Craft that discussions would be a matter between him and the town manager, and that staff would coordinate next steps.
