The Jerseyville City Council voted Oct. 14 to approve an IDOT resolution to close State Highway 67 from Prairie Street to Exchange Street for the American Legion Veterans Day Parade scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Greg Breden told the council that "Sheriff Nick Manns will be guest speaker," and said the ceremony will be moved to the American Legion if weather forces a change.
Commissioner Steve Pohlman moved to approve the resolution, and Commissioner Jennifer Graklanoff seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The closure was presented as temporary for the parade’s duration and required IDOT sign-off per the resolution approved by the council.
