Mayor Pike asks URA to allow city vehicles in downtown lot for Eagle Fund Days; board approves

Mayor Pike asked the Urban Renewal Agency to permit city staff vehicles to occupy the agency-owned parking area at 35 West State Street during Eagle Fund Days on June 26–27, citing liability concerns and the desire for the city and URA to be “good partners.” "A formal request to be able to utilize the 0.25 parking lot of Eagle And State Street, which is, property of the Urban Renewal Agency for, utilization of city staff vehicles to be parked during the 26th and 27th for Eagle Fund Days," Mayor Pike said during the presentation.
Chair moved to approve the mayor’s request; the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor by voice vote with no opposition. The authorization is limited to the dates asked for and was recorded as an action item to be implemented by staff and the mayor’s office.
