Board approves Aspen Point Plaza master sign plan, opts for building-mounted signs

The City of Eagle Design Review Board approved DR20 26 35, the Aspen Point Plaza master sign plan, on June 11, 2026. The applicant proposed building-mounted dimensional signage and deferred a monument sign to a later staff-level modification.
Mark Butler explained the proposal to the board and Barb Williams, planning staff, summarized prior approvals and the current plan: the previous application had a monument sign; the current submittal focuses on tasteful building wall signage and allows halo or external illumination and dimensional letters. Williams described the proposal: “they can do halo. They can do external illumination, a combination of both, and that it's supposed to be dimensional.”
Board members asked about color compatibility for sign backings; the applicant said backing colors would be reviewed and approved by staff. After brief discussion the chair moved to approve the master sign plan, a member seconded, and the board voted to adopt the plan.
