The Trappe Town Council convened a workshop Dec. 23 at 1:00 p.m. with President Schmidt and Commissioners Jeremy Newnam, Michael Sullivan and Walter Chase present. Town Administrator Erin Braband and Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan attended.
Council members approved two contract actions during the roughly half-hour workshop. The first motion awarded a $75,000 sewer-lining contract to Livingston Septic after a staff presentation of two bids. The second motion changed an award to Bearing Construction from an on-site refurbishment to a Parkson replacement at $189,451 after staff reported the unit would be rebuilt on-site rather than shipped for refurbishment; the Council cited warranty advantages on the new unit.
Both motions were moved by Commissioner Jeremy Newnam and seconded by Commissioner Walter Chase and were recorded as unanimously approved. With no further business the workshop was adjourned at 1:29 p.m.
