Trappe to submit water and sewer plan amendment to Talbot County for Paris Foods

Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told the Trappe Town Council on Jan. 14 that a map change necessitates a comprehensive water and sewer plan amendment for the Paris Foods property and recommended the town submit the request to Talbot County to re-designate the site as S1/W1. "A comprehensive water and sewer plan amendment for Paris Foods needs to be submitted to the County due to a map change that occurred after Paris Foods was approved and connected to the Town’s wastewater," Ryan said.
Commissioner Michael Sullivan moved to submit the amendment request to Talbot County and Commissioner Jeremy Newnam seconded; the council approved the motion unanimously. The amendment is intended to reflect the post-approval map change and to formalize the property's connection status in the county's planning records. The council did not discuss a timeline for Talbot County's review in the meeting.
