Resident Raises Speeding Concern on Main Street; Sheriff Will Report Data in December

During the public-safety portion of the Nov. 6 agenda, resident Mrs. Frock said she was concerned about speeding in town, specifically on Main Street, and asked what could be done. President Schmidt noted the public safety report was filed in the council binders and said the Sheriff's Department has placed a speed trailer on Main Street.
Sgt. Aita of the Sheriff's Department told the council that "results would be in for the December Council meeting." Council members briefly discussed contracting with companies that operate speed cameras to issue tickets, but no decision or contract action was taken at the meeting.
