Trappe to solicit snow‑removal quote, seek street‑sweeper pricing and revisit Rt. 565 sidewalk

Administrator Erin Braband told the council Sept. 4 that the Town's snow removal contract with PE Moore expires Dec. 31. The council asked Braband to contact PE Moore to learn whether the company would submit a quote to continue the contract and to have that quote available for the October meeting.
President Schmidt asked staff to obtain pricing for a street sweeper and bring that information to the next meeting. Commissioner Walter Chase requested the council revisit installing a sidewalk along Rt. 565 from Home Run Baker Park to the school; President Schmidt said he will follow up on that matter.
These items were discussed as direction to staff rather than as final contract awards; the council also approved issuing an RFP to obtain quotes to replace and rebuild the bar/filter screen at the treatment plant as a separate action that staff said would not affect ENR grant funds.
