Trappe Council approves agenda and minutes, files routine reports

The Trappe Town Council unanimously approved the meeting agenda and two sets of minutes, heard the clerk’s and public works reports, and finalized communications items including Nace’s Day preparations.
President Schmidt called the Trappe Town Council to order at 6 p.m. and the council unanimously approved the evening’s agenda after a motion by Commissioner Rose Potter and a second from Commissioner Walter Chase. The council then unanimously approved the minutes from the Sept. 4 and Sept. 11 meetings on a motion from Commissioner Jeremy Newnam and a second from Commissioner Chase.
Town Administrator Erin Braband read the clerk’s report and told the council that "the General Fund and the Enterprise Fund budgets are in the Council’s binders and filed with the records." President Schmidt noted the public works report was likewise included in the binders. Commissioner Michael Sullivan reported ongoing efforts to help reopen the post office, and President Schmidt said Yvonne Freeman confirmed that Nace’s Day on Nov. 2 is finalized.
