1st Chance Center reports ridership and staffing gains, plans countywide outreach event

Haley, representing 1st Chance Center and Orange County Transit Services, told commissioners the service completed more than 3,200 trips during the most recent quarter and collected about $6,400 in private‑pay fare revenue in addition to Medicaid reimbursements. Haley said staffing improved from four full‑time and two part‑time drivers last year to five full‑time and five part‑time this quarter.
Haley asked commissioners to approve and sign a reimbursement claim so the agency can receive funds and said Orange County Transit Services will run a social‑media scavenger hunt on Aug. 21 to promote the service and engage the community. "We completed over 3,200 trips this 0.25," Haley told the board, and commissioners approved the reimbursement claim by voice vote.
Officials said they appreciated the update and looked forward to the outreach event.
