City ends nonperforming contract, consolidates CentralSquare services and approves CAD migration

The board approved termination of a CentralSquare Pro Suite contract that the city had purchased and that did not work out; city staff said there are no termination fees and the contract will simply end. Patrick Stokes, assistant IT director, told the board the termination incurs no fees and that the city will consolidate multiple emergency-services contracts into a single CentralSquare agreement for easier management.
"There's no termination fees. So we're just ending the contract," Patrick Stokes (assistant IT director) said. The board also approved $51,480 for professional services to migrate the computer-aided-dispatch (CAD) software from aging physical servers to the city's virtual environment; Stokes said the current system is on physical servers that are starting to have issues and need replacement to maintain emergency-services operations.
