The Elkhart Board of Parks and Recreation met Aug. 4 in the city council chambers and unanimously approved a revised agenda and the minutes from the July 21 meeting.
Board staff reported $81,184.40 in claims for the period. "In terms of financials, we have, $81,184.40 in claims," the Chair stated when summarizing the financials. After brief acknowledgement from members, a board member moved to approve the claims and the board voted unanimously.
The board also accepted a $1,000 donation from Surf Internet for the city's Independence Day event. The Chair thanked the donor on behalf of the department. The motion to accept the donation passed by voice vote with all members voting in favor.
