Hillsdale Approves NexTrek Recycling Challenge Participation; Collected Plastic Film to Go to Big Y

Councilmember Jamie Carano Nordenstrom reported the town would collect plastic film for the NexTrek Recycling Challenge and said the collected film would be taken to Big Y for processing. She said the material "is sent to NexTrek and they donate a bench of recycled material," and she will complete the town's registration.
The board approved a motion to allow Town of Hillsdale volunteers to participate. Resolution 76-2025 (moved by Carano Nordenstrom and seconded by Supervisor Mike Dvorchak) was adopted with four ayes: Dvorchak, Virello, Feld and Carano Nordenstrom. The minutes record that the material will be sent to NexTrek and that the town will receive a donated bench in return.
