Board honors softball and track athletes for WPIL and state performances

Board members and staff recognized the 2026 softball team (WPIL silver) and numerous track athletes for regional and state placings during the Aug. 5 meeting.
Trustees and staff recognized student athletes from the 2026 softball and track teams for regional and state accomplishments.
Staff member invited the students forward and named individual honorees, including Kendall Waters; Aubrey Kessler; Carly Surma; Talia Rio; Autumn Dukovic Cosma; Jenna Whipkey; Claire Kiefer; Danica (trainer) Kendra Brunson; Gracie Ettling; Sadie Poole; Bentley Mizicar; Chloe Barelli; Samantha Walter; Emma Miller; and track placers Tyke Snyder (6th, 300 hurdles), Andrew Bridal (5th, shot put), Bryson Bancosh (7th, long jump), and Gage Sowers (2nd, pole vault). "It's always, it's always a pleasure to greet them and see them here," Staff member said during the recognition.
The board presented brief congratulations and returned to business after the presentation.
