The commission voted to find that activities proposed in application IWWC 26-22 — a driveway and wetland crossing serving a future single-family residence at 669 Schuhoe Road — do not constitute a significant impact under the town's inland-wetlands rules and may proceed as Class B activities. An outside engineer's memo recommended removing unsuitable soils 10 feet either side of the culvert and replacing them with compact gravel; commissioners agreed to make that work a condition of approval.
Commissioners discussed specific conditions before final approval. Staff referenced the engineer's recommendation and suggested wetlands placards along the boundary at roughly 25 feet spacing to mark clearing limits. "Any unsuitable soil 10 feet on either side of the culvert ... will be removed and replaced with compact gravel," the approval motion said; the commission approved the application with those conditions and required revised plans and as-built documentation showing the work.
