Board places $445,846 camera upgrade for North Brunswick High on consent; consent agenda approved

The Brunswick County Board of Education placed a recommended contract to upgrade security cameras at North Brunswick High School on the consent agenda and approved it during its Aug. 6 meeting.
Miss Cook, reporting for the operations committee, said the high school currently has 82 cameras awaiting upgrades and administrators identified 19 additional cameras to expand coverage. "To do that, it's going to cost, dollars 445,846.10 to complete the project," she said. The camera contract was included with other consent items that the board approved by voice vote.
The board did not read a separate roll-call vote for the contract at the meeting; it was approved as part of the full consent package. The operations report said the work was intended to expand and improve access and coverage across the campus.
