Jim Meehan said the contractor on Rowton Avenue is ahead of its original schedule and that paving and punch-list items were expected to wrap up weeks ahead of the previously projected mid‑October completion. Council member Richard Dellinger reported seeing uneven 2.5–3-inch drops at paved-to-unpaved transitions and rudimentary or missing warning signs on some streets; he pressed staff to consider temporary ramps or more visible signage. Meehan said he would consult project managers and noted temporary fixes must be removed before final paving, which can complicate work.
Staff told the committee they will follow up with contractors about temporary transitions and increase warning signs where feasible. The project updates were informational and no formal votes were taken.
