Mid-Del's Technology Center received Gold Star recognition after meeting multiple performance and program metrics, and the board approved the center's marketing plan for recruitment.
"We had to prequalify on some data... we were in the upper nineties," said the Tech Center presenter, listing metrics that included retention/completion in the upper nineties, 92.85% for employment/military/continuing education outcomes, less than 5% follow-up (reported as 0.040), and 69.65% participation in CTSO organizations. The presenter said the center logged more than 9,500 clock hours and highlighted special initiatives including recovery, a TANF program and a ninth-grade transition program.
The board approved the center's marketing plan (branded "Built for What's Next") and thanked staff for the Gold Star work. The presenter introduced Jason Adams as the center's new marketing director and said the marketing campaign will be released in late fall to support recruitment.
