The Georgetown‑Ridge Farm Community Unit District #4 Board of Education on Sept. 22 approved a consent agenda that included minutes, a school activities report and authorization to sell, donate or discard surplus band uniforms and old high‑school computer tables and file cabinets.
"Moved: Dalenburg, 2nd Learnard – Consent Agenda: Consent agenda items will be considered without discussion, unless a Board Member asks to have items removed for discussion prior to action," the minutes record. The motion passed on a roll call with Nancy Dalenburg, Ange Carlton, Betsy Daily, Heather Roberts, Mark Learnard and Lori Starwalt voting in favor and no nays recorded.
The consent agenda is a routine mechanism the board uses to handle multiple noncontroversial items together; the minutes show no member requested removal of any consent item for separate discussion. The approved disposal authority will allow district officials to proceed with selling, donating or discarding the listed surplus items per district procedures.
The action was taken at the district Superintendent’s Office, 502 Mulberry Street, Georgetown, Illinois, and the meeting record notes a quorum was present.
