The Slippery Rock Area School Board on June 8 approved a package of personnel actions covering unpaid leaves, transfers, volunteer athletic appointments and a bus-driver/monitor hire.
The board unanimously approved unpaid leave requests for Christine Glass (half day, May 19), Alisha Schlotter (half day, June 3), Gina McCloskey (half day, June 8), Martha Hoover (five days, June 8–12) and Adam Blose (nine days, June 1–11). The board also approved an involuntary transfer of Gina McCloskey to a Life Skills Support paraprofessional role at SR Area Elementary and a voluntary transfer of Cheryl Bachman to the open ASES position at Moraine Elementary.
The board approved volunteer coaching appointments for Gabriel Schwartz (football), Joshua Book (boys basketball and fitness center) and Leann Blasko (volleyball). The board also approved Lexi Graham as a bus driver/monitor with STA.
Superintendent Dr. Alfonso Angelucci announced resignations from Lindsey Whitmer (SRAE teacher and assistant volleyball coach, effective June 12), David Magliocca (assistant boys soccer coach, effective June 3) and Austin Motta (head boys basketball coach, effective June 8).
