Resident urges action on street closures, missed repaving and trash problems on Liberty Street

During citizen comments, Tiffany Crump of 69 Liberty Street described multiple neighborhood problems she said are affecting safety and quality of life. She said closure signs stating 6 a.m. were not accurate for her commute, that nearby streets were repaved while Liberty Street was marked for work but not completed, and that trash collection has sometimes been missed or left spilling down the hill in front of her property.
Crump also described frequent speeding and vehicle strikes near her home and asked whether traffic calming or a light could be considered. The president thanked her for raising the concerns, confirmed staff were taking notes and said Doug from staff has her contact information and would follow up. “Doug has my contact,” Crump said; the council said staff will look into the issues and respond.
