Council waives procurement rules to buy $248,500 wheel loader

After brief questions about Sourcewell — described by staff as a paid consortium that lets entities use existing vendor contracts — a motion to approve was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote. The council recorded the approval and directed staff to proceed with the purchase and follow existing CIP reporting requirements.
