The Williams County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve LUDash0055Dash26, a conditional-use permit to allow a second single-family dwelling on a roughly 13.41-acre parcel in Hazel Township.
Michelle Haugen of county planning told the board the property is in the rural-residential zoning district and that planning and zoning recommended approval by a 7–0 vote. "The applicant is requesting the conditional use permit for an additional single family residence on the subject property," Haugen said. She said the new manufactured home would become the applicant's primary residence while the existing house would be used for storage and occasional guests.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval without further discussion and carried the motion in a roll call vote. The permit authorizes placement of a second dwelling under the county's conditional-use rules; planning staff confirmed access is from 100 And 15th Avenue Northwest and that Hazel Township had not submitted comments as of July 28. The commission did not add conditions beyond those described by staff.
The matter was handled as a regular agenda item and is now approved; any permits required for placement and building will proceed through the normal building-permit process.
