Hanover previews Eisenhower Drive signal upgrade and multiple road and water-main projects

On funding, staff said they have secured approximately $700,000 toward a roughly $1.5 million High Street reconstruction and are pursuing additional multimodal and PennDOT support to reduce the borough's share. Black Rock Road water-main work was advanced after PennDOT scaled back a different road project; the borough plans an in-house installation of a 16-inch main from Pars Hill reservoir toward Bowman Road to serve new development and improve system capacity. Staff emphasized grant leverage (CDBG, MTF, LSA) and noted several projects have come in under budget. Council members asked about truck-strike incidents on Eisenhower and staff reiterated planned mast-arm upgrades and battery backup to reduce recurring outages.
