Public Works lists deferred fleet projects, water/wastewater staffing and emergency equipment priorities

For the water and wastewater divisions, staff requested additional operators and a replacement blower and emphasized safety and continuity of operations for 24-hour treatment-plant coverage.
Public Works also said some fleet items (pickup beds, sanders, dump truck) will be prioritized to preserve operational capability and reduce contractor calls. The department suggested that some purchases could save money over time, but staff acknowledged they did not yet have a detailed cost-benefit analysis to quantify savings.
