Sheila Cokie, vice chair of Parks & Rec, and other PRAC members asked for more strategic planning rather than knee-jerk responses and suggested a liaison to alert youth sports organizations when park items are under consideration.
Speakers also suggested arts-based screening or public-art treatments for utility structures and asked that Parks & Rec and Arts & Culture review any proposed screening solutions before Commission action.
