Applicant says fire turnaround and hydrant will serve easement area

The project team told the board they have consulted with the fire chief and plan a fire-truck turnaround on the companion 660 Main Street site and a hydrant on Spring Street to ensure apparatus access for the properties served by the easement.
Joseph Thompson said the team reviewed hydrant positioning and expects to install one on Spring Street so it is “within all hose pull distances to service these properties.” He also noted efforts already underway to trim branches, post no-parking signage and restripe parking so ladder trucks can access the easement; the proposals for 660 and 668 Main will involve repaving and turning improvements to improve emergency access.
