Glisan cited St. Augustine’s recent seawall funding as an example of a project that secured substantial assistance via regional coordination and appeals.
Members noted the seawall’s complexity and that different pots of federal funding (including Army Corps and other programs) have distinct eligibility criteria. The board asked staff to continue coordination with the consultant team and to report back on resubmission status and funding opportunities.
