During the public comment portion of the May 18 meeting Mary Church, representing the Mendon Public Library, offered a brief history of the library’s services and invited the community to events marking the library’s 150th anniversary the week of June 22, 2026.
Earlier in the public comment segment Mayor Milne addressed residents about the previous month’s public hearing, saying the board recognizes public hearings can be procedurally challenging and "affirmed that the Board values and appreciates the perspectives, comments, and participation of all residents." He said that it was not the board’s intention for residents to feel their comments were not appreciated.
