The Village of Honeoye Falls Zoning Board of Appeals on May 4 unanimously approved a demolition permit for 24 Norton Street after issuing a negative declaration under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Chairman Brian Hoose said.
Ryan Stoner of Mathstone presented the application and described why he considered the two on‑site structures unsalvageable and outlined possible future plans for the parcel. Village Attorney Matthew Lenahan advised the board that the proposal was an "unlisted action" under SEQRA and led the members through the Short Environmental Assessment Form Part 2; the board agreed that each question indicated no or small impacts and that Part 3 was unnecessary.
Chairman Hoose moved to issue a SEQRA negative declaration; Mark Donahoe seconded and the motion passed unanimously. After the SEQRA finding, with no public comment recorded, Adam Keller moved and Mark Donahoe seconded a motion to approve issuance of the demolition permit for 24 Norton Street; the board again voted unanimously to approve the permit.
The board did not record conditions attached to the permit in the minutes provided. The public hearing opened at 7:03 p.m. and was closed at 7:15 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
