Staff said Eastern Elevator did not bill for the additional rewiring done that day and the motor replacement work had been completed. Commissioners moved and approved payment for the motor replacement only.
Officials emphasized the repairs were unexpected and necessary to restore the elevator and avoid safety and accessibility problems at the facility.
