Huber Heights swears in Mike Lang as city police chief

Mayor Jeff Gore administered the oath of office to Mike Lang, who was sworn in as Huber Heights City Police Chief.
Lang, who said the first 11 days on the job "have been amazing," thanked city staff, the mayor and council and vowed to "faithfully, honestly and impartially discharge the duties" of his office. Mayor Gore said the city was fortunate to have Lang come out of retirement to lead the department and expressed appreciation for Lang's commitment.
The swearing-in occurred during the special presentations portion of the agenda; council and staff welcomed the new chief and encouraged residents to support the department.
