Hopewell joins regional talks on water infrastructure and grant-seeking

Supervisor William Namestnik told the board that Hopewell hosted a meeting with the towns of Seneca, Gorham, Manchester, Phelps and Clifton Springs to begin discussions about collaborating on water infrastructure and pooling resources for potential grants. Namestnik said the effort is "just the beginning" and that supervisors have assignments to research grant opportunities.
Water Superintendent Joe Eckam told the board the water superintendents will meet on April 7 to discuss what they would like to see from a regional program; the supervisors and superintendents plan to reconvene later and may include the Town and City of Canandaigua, Town of Geneva and possibly Farmington.
