With the ARPA spending deadline approaching, the Hopkinton Town Board approved several targeted allocations at the Dec. 16 meeting. Supervisor Wood moved to provide $3,000 to the Outlaw Saloon toward obtaining broadband services; the motion passed with four ayes and one abstention (Councilperson French). The board also approved $500 to purchase a Town Hall door closure, $1,200 to purchase an AED for the library, and $2,800 to install front entry security doors for the Town Barn.
An ARPA Abstract purchase of shelving and storage bins for $601.30 was also discussed and approved as part of ARPA Abstract 12. Board members emphasized the year‑end requirement that remaining ARPA funds be designated before the end of 2024.
