IT staff recommended the district renew software licenses that support its wireless access points, network switches and centralized cloud management across schools.
"The lowest responsive bid was $265,606.10 from CDWG, and that is the recommended, selection," the IT presenter said, adding the purchase would cover 2,956 of the district's roughly 4,000 access points and includes software updates, cybersecurity patches and technical support.
The presenter noted license expirations are staggered across one‑, three‑ and five‑year contracts and that last year's renewal expenditure for roughly 2,200 licenses was $163,412. Board members asked clarifying questions about coverage and contract terms, and the board supported putting the item on the consent agenda rather than taking separate action.
