Sheridan County approves $1.64 million in airport equipment contracts and hangar lease

Sheridan County commissioners on June 16 approved three airport procurement contracts and authorized a hangar lease, awarding a combined $1,639,117.75 to three vendors and signing a lease with Sheridan Pilots 307, LLC.
Airport Manager Robert Gill presented the procurement results. The Board awarded the Acquire SRE Front End Loader and Plow project to RDO Equipment Company for $509,328.75 after receiving a single bid that the county said was below the engineer's estimate. Commissioners then approved an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Vehicle contract to Oshkosh Airport Products for $1,051,876.00 following receipt of two bids. Finally, the Board awarded ARFF equipment and tools to LN Curtis and Sons for $78,913.00; that single bid also came in under the engineer's estimate. Each award was approved by unanimous vote.
Commissioner Holly Jennings commended Airport Manager Gill for his work on the procurements and noted that the bids all came in under the county's engineer estimates. The Board also approved a hangar lease agreement between Sheridan County and Sheridan Pilots 307, LLC and authorized the Chair to sign the lease.
The awards were made by separate motions (loader moved by Jennings; ARFF vehicle moved by Mike Arzy; ARFF tools and hangar lease moved by Jennings) and each motion passed unanimously. The contracts have not yet been signed in public minutes and no contract numbers or additional contract terms were specified in the meeting record.
