Cabarrus superintendent highlights three new replacement schools, bond outreach and summer hiring

Superintendent Dr. Kopicki told the Cabarrus County Schools board the district will place a general obligation bond on the Nov. 3 ballot and that staff will share factual information about the proposal in coming weeks so voters can be informed.
"There is a school bond issue that will be out there for in front of the voters... on the November 3 ballot and over the coming weeks will be sharing factual information to help our committee understand what the proposal includes and how the bond process works," Dr. Kopicki said.
Dr. Kopicki also highlighted the district's three new replacement schools, saying they represent years of planning and partnership with county commissioners and the community. He thanked staff for a three‑day new employee orientation that brought more than 2,50(0) new teachers and staff into the district and reminded the board of scheduled open houses and ribbon‑cutting events next week for the new campuses.
Board Chair Mr. Walter said the buildings are an investment in students and noted the board’s continuing responsibility to review policies, contracts and planning that support student success.
