Votes and actions: Hunter board approves ARPA acceptance, STR fee amendment, landfill testing and other motions

The Town Board recorded the following formal actions on Aug. 13, 2024:
- Resolution #4 (accepted): Authorize acceptance of Greene County ARPA funds for $25,000 to support Kaaterskill Rail Trail resurfacing, drainage improvements and KRT‑3 extension. Motion by Councilman David Kukle; passed (In Favor 4, Opposed 0).
- Motion (Granicus renewal): Authorize the Supervisor to sign a renewal agreement with Granicus pending Town Attorney review. Motion by Councilman Dolph Semenza; seconded by Councilman Raymond Legg; recorded as Ayes 5, Noes 0. Payment to the vendor will be withheld until full services are provided.
- Motion (STR fee amendment): Amend STR permit fees to raise fees for properties that rented without a permit for one or more years after the STR law, doubling the annual rate based on occupancy. Motion made and recorded as Ayes 5, Noes 0.
- Motion (landfill testing): Authorize Rennia Engineering to increase the frequency of lab testing at the landfill per their recommendation. Motion passed unanimously.
- Motions (executive session & adjourn): Board entered executive session at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the employment of a particular individual and exited at 8:10 p.m. with no action taken; board then adjourned. Motions were passed unanimously.
