The South Burlington Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve municipal planning commission reports that reflect recently approved changes to the city's land development regulations.
Staff presented the packet of planning commission reports and a commissioner moved to adopt them as amended. Commissioner Michael moved the motion and the commission approved it on a voice vote. During discussion a commissioner praised housing targets contained in the package, saying, "I think it's wonderful that we're increasing the number of affordable housing units by 1000," and thanked staff for the work of drafting the documents.
The reports compile technical edits and amendments the planning commission had previously approved and are intended to accompany the next formal amendment round that will go to city council and public notice. Staff said the edits correct items that did not make it into earlier reports and that final formal review and council presentation will follow the amendment schedule.
