On transportation he said the department routed roughly 5,500 students in the morning and 5,400 in the afternoon (about 70% of typical ridership), added three new international diesel buses to the fleet and auctioned eight older buses at roughly $1,500 each.
Board members thanked custodial and maintenance staff and noted that continued adjustments to routes and ride times may occur as the system stabilizes in the coming weeks.
