Town says DEC grant will map stormwater infrastructure

The Town of Hyde Park has secured a Department of Environmental Conservation grant to map its stormwater infrastructure, Planning Board member Miss Moss told the board at its Aug. 5 meeting. She said field crews are identifying catch basins, pipes and outfalls and using measuring equipment to document connections.
"The town of Hyde Park is participating in a grant from DEC for mapping of our stormwater infrastructure," Miss Moss said, adding that drivers should be aware of mapping crews working in their neighborhoods. She also said the police will accompany crews on busier streets as needed. The board did not take a formal vote; the announcement was given as informational at the start of the meeting.
