The Town Board recorded several formal actions during the budget workshop.
Supervisor Sean Mahoney moved to hold a public hearing on the budget on Oct. 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., with a budget workshop to follow; the motion was seconded by Councilman Dolph Semenza and recorded as passing 3-0 with Councilmen Raymond Legg and David Kukle absent.
Councilman Ernest Reale moved to go into executive session at 8:38 p.m. to discuss the employment history of individuals; the board entered and later exited executive session at 9:02 p.m. after a motion by Supervisor Mahoney. The minutes record votes of 3-0 with two absences for both the entrance and exit motions.
Supervisor Mahoney also moved to increase the hourly rate for Jayne Bogus to $21.00 and for Debra Reme to $20.00 effective immediately, and to waive the 3% cost-of-living raise for those two employees in 2025; the motion included four hours of holiday pay for Reme and was approved 3-0 with two absences. The meeting adjourned at 9:06 p.m. on a 3-0 vote.
