Board to renew short-term health plan, then switch to county option in January

Supervisor Dave Fantuzzo reported the town’s Excellus plan is 16% higher this year and projected to be 25% higher next year, and presented a county 'Value 25' option that carries a $0 deductible. The board discussed discontinuing the HRA, a potential HSA approach with town contributions, and a buyout option to remain under discussion.
By Resolution #99-2024 (ADOPTED AYES 5 NAYS 0) the board resolved to renew the current health plan for the period 10/01/24–12/31/24 and to proceed with the County health plan effective 01/01/25; the board retained the existing buyout level for now and will consider any increase at the 9/17/24 meeting.
