District staff report on graduates, facilities upgrades and audit prep; AOI enrollment set at 23

Administrators summarized routine operational activity and program updates at the Dec. 4 CCRASD board meeting. Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen reported onboarding a new JDC/Jail Education teacher, working to secure completed Impact Aid Source Check Forms, and coordinating diploma signings. Ponderosa High School Principal Les Hauer reported that Komfort Air completed HVAC work and that school staff hosted a holiday meal for students and staff. Tse' Yaato High School Principal Traci Parker said staff are tracking potential December graduates and that 26 students took the ASVAB with nine exceeding the benchmark. AOI Coordinator Emily Morton reported 23 students enrolled for quarter 2 and that next semester would be fully remote for AOI students.
Director of Business Services Erin Tutay said she is preparing audit documents for the FY25 USFR audit scheduled for February and completed reimbursements for IDEA Basic and Small Rural Schools grants. Director John Phelps said he has been updating SPED policies and schedules and is handling required trainings and meetings, including AZELLA reassessment training and 504 meetings.
"He continued his work with onboarding the new JDC/Jail Education teacher," Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen said when summarizing administrative priorities. The reports provided the board with operational visibility ahead of the board's action items later in the meeting.
