Airport Manager Bill Calderwood reviewed operations, maintenance and capital-improvement items. He told the board the airport currently has no active vendor contracts for outside services, that lease and rental accounts (including Hangar 1 rents, ramp and tie-down collections and fuel flowage fees) are being reviewed, and that some mowing and a curb removal at the "T" intersection had been completed at glider pilots' request.
Calderwood said he met the new Weather Bureau representative out of Elko and that the board should determine whether the ASOS is owned and maintained by the FAA or the Weather Service before seeking an update. He also reported meeting with ASRI to discuss reported radio interference. Calderwood said the airport's emergency plan is being updated and "will be added to the website once completed."
Calderwood also noted operational follow-ups: contacting a USDA pilot who struck a light on runway 12/30 (no charge will be assessed) and that a proposed courtesy-vehicle exchange with the Aquatic Center was not workable. The board asked staff to continue pursuing clarity on ASOS ownership and remedies for interference.
