Administrators report outplacement returns, recent special-education monitoring

Curriculum and special-education matters took up part of the committee meeting. Mrs. Peach said the district has seen roughly 10 students with identified disabilities transition back into district programs and credited expanded internal services for improved retention.
Staff said they had completed an analytic study to understand why families sought placements and used those findings to expand programs and staffing. Mrs. Peach and Mr. Weston also reported the district underwent state monitoring in March 2026; they said the monitoring covers procedural and substantive elements and that three documents record the monitorings findings. Board members asked for a one-page summary of the monitoring results to be shared with the board.
