Christine Pouch updated the board on multiple grant efforts: she said a Water Quality Infrastructure Program (WQIP) grant application for Lake Adirondack — roughly $3,245,053 — is pending and that last year’s awards were announced in March. Pouch also said a $45,000 request for a generator at the Welcome Center was submitted to Senator Schumer on Dec. 7 and followed up on Jan. 3. She reported the town is awaiting a DEC contract to begin a DEC-funded EV-charging project and noted reimbursable expenses of $5,720.29 and match labor hours of $10,167.90 on a Hamlets Gateway grant project with an end date March 30, 2024.
The board approved abstracts and bills at the meeting. No contract awards or final grant approvals were announced at this meeting; staff continue to track grant contract steps and were preparing for procurement decisions tied to the bond timeline.
