Town Council unanimously confirms Paul Connolly as Bedford IT manager

Town Manager Rick Sawyer asked the Bedford Town Council on June 24 to confirm Paul Connolly, a 24-year Bedford resident and Marine Corps veteran with more than 25 years of IT experience, as the town’s Information Technology Manager effective July 20, 2026.
Mr. Sawyer said the position drew over 60 resumes and the town hired an IT consulting firm to help evaluate candidates; a selection committee including Councilor Gail Levesque, Systems Analyst Daniel Morris, Assistant Town Manager Jeanne Walker, the consultant and Mr. Sawyer conducted interviews and recommended Connolly as the best fit. Councilor Levesque moved confirmation; the motion was seconded by Councilor Soule and the council approved the appointment on a roll-call vote, 7-0. Mr. Connolly thanked town management and the council and said he looked forward to serving Bedford in the role.
